# Endorsement note — to send to whoever hosts the test

Hi [name],

We have a working version of the new IRIS app and we're about to test it on a few
of our own phones. Before that, it needs a temporary home online — just for the
testing period.

Could you stand it up from our repo? Everything you need is in **`TEST_HOSTING.md`**
in the repo (`github.com/vsguarino/iris-chat`). It's short and step-by-step. There
are two pieces: a small server (the "middleman"), and a back-office web page (the
admin console).

When it's up, please send me back **two links**: the server's address, and the
admin console link. That's all I need.

Two ground rules, both important:

1. **The API key is yours to generate and hold.** Please create a dedicated,
   spending-capped test key in the Anthropic console, put it only in the host's
   secret settings, and **never** put it in the repo or send it in a message — not
   to me, not to anyone. If you ever get a request to send a key, it isn't from us.
2. **Set real admin logins before the console is reachable.** The console comes
   with demo logins that are public in the code; the instructions show the one
   setting that replaces them with real accounts. Please set that before the
   console is open to anyone.

This is a **temporary test host**, not the final production setup — that comes
later, done properly. And it's just a straight copy of what's in our repo, so
there's nothing to redesign; when we improve the app, we'll send you the updated
copy to re-host.
